Job Summary:

  • Assist licensed electricians with installations, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems while gaining hands-on experience and knowledge toward becoming a certified electrician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems

Qualifications:

Job Summary:

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. Ensures compliance with safety standards and electrical codes while mentoring apprentices and collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers or other components.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, adjustments or repairs to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and codes.
  • Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors.
  • Maintain records and files, prepare reports and order supplies and equipment.
  • Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
  • Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications

Qualifications:

  • Must possess MN Class A Journeyman Electrical license or direct reciprocating state Journeyman's Class A license.
  • Knowledge of 2023 NEC code requirements and how to follow them.
  • Able to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of using a conduit bender, electrical meters, core drill, threader and a fiber tester.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Microsoft Office computer skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Job Summary:

  • As a Fiber Optic Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cables and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to prepare and splice fiber optic cables in various environments
  • Build proper splice closures for various job locations
  • Document fiber records
  • Communicate and coordinate with other workers and customers in a professional manner
  • Adhere to all quality and safety codes

Qualifications:

  • Experience is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
  • Ideal candidate should have a background in the fiber splicing industry and the ability to complete fiber projects with little to no supervision
  • Willingness to travel is a plus
  • This job requires a flexible work schedule and the ability to perform day and/or night work
  • A valid driver’s license is required

Salary/Wage Range:

  • $27-$40  per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary:

  • Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of aerial utility systems, including telecommunications, power, and other cable lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical tasks such as throwing weighted ropes over elevated cable lines and tree branches to pull and secure wires, utilizing tools such as lashers and ropes.
  • Safely operate a bucket truck, climbing ladders and poles up to 50 feet or higher, following all safety standards and procedures.
  • Install ground rods and anchors using pounding equipment.
  • Assist in pulling aerial and underground cables through new or existing conduits.
  • Install equipment and dress poles according to customer specifications using various hand and power tools.
  • Interpret blueprints and maps to determine daily work assignments and project specifications.
  • Prepare and set up job sites, including placing proper signage, cones, and barricades to ensure safety.
  • Organize and distribute building materials, machinery, tools, and other necessary items as per project needs.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working order, performing routine inspections and keeping them stocked and clean.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials on job sites and assist in site clean-up and debris removal.
  • Perform daily truck inspections and manage truck inventories.
  • Participate in additional tasks as assigned by supervisors to support project completion.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Prior experience in telecommunications or construction, including aerial line work, is desirable. 
  • Climbing experience and knowledge of aerial utility construction are desirable.
  • Ability to operate a bucket truck and climb poles safely. Experience with hand and power tools used in aerial construction is helpful.
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including working at heights, lifting heavy objects, and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong understanding and adherence to safety practices in line with industry standards. The ability to prioritize safety always is critical.
  • A valid driver’s license is required; CDL PREFFERED.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
  • Experience with telecommunications construction is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions

Job Summary:

  • Assist the underground utility operators and technicians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utility systems, including water, sewer, gas, and telecommunication lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual labor tasks, such as digging trenches, pits, and holes using shovels, picks, and other hand tools
  • Safely operate small machinery and equipment, such as jackhammers, concrete saws, and compactors, following all safety guidelines and protocols
  • Help with the setup and cleanup of work areas, ensuring a safe and organized environment for the team and the public
  • Utilize electronic locating devices to mark the location of existing underground utility lines and assist in their identification
  • Transport and handle materials and equipment to and from job sites as directed by the supervisor
  • Participate in regular safety meetings and follow all company policies and procedures to promote a culture of safety
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients, providing assistance and support as needed throughout the project

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in construction, manual labor, or related fields is a plus but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals

Job Summary:

  • Operate and maintain directional drilling equipment to install underground utilities with precision and efficiency. Work closely with team members to locate existing utilities, ensure safety compliance, and complete projects accurately according to plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment
  • Grease, oil and do daily maintenance of equipment
  • Hand dig around existing utilities when necessary
  • Trained to operate tampers, jackhammers, drills, and saws
  • Carry and load materials to be used on the job
  • Follow all company safety policies and practices
  • Report any equipment repairs needed to Foreman or Supervisor
  • Light repair and maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Assist in hauling equipment to and from job site
  • Clean up and restore work area

Job Summary:


The Underground Utilities Foreman is responsible for overseeing and managing the construction and installation of underground utility systems. This role involves coordinating daily tasks, ensuring crew safety and efficiency, and maintaining compliance with project specifications and regulations. The Foreman provides hands-on leadership and technical expertise to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. 


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Field Operations: Take charge of day-to-day activities on underground utility job sites. Interpret plans and specifications, organize crews, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope.

• Team Leadership: Direct and support crew members to complete work safely and efficiently. Communicate clear expectations, assign tasks, and provide on-the-job guidance and mentorship.

• Coordinate Equipment & Materials: Ensure tools, machinery, and materials are available and in good working order. Help track inventory, coordinate deliveries, and reduce downtime in the field.

• Ensure Safety Compliance: Uphold Miller’s commitment to safety by enforcing all safety protocols and leading daily safety talks. Recognize hazards and take corrective action quickly.

• Quality Control: Monitor progress and workmanship to confirm that all installations meet project standards. Troubleshoot issues in real-time and work with leadership to maintain quality from start to finish.



Qualifications:

• Experience: Prefer prior experience working in the utilities construction field as a Foreman.

• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively

• Must be willing to travel

• Valid Driver’s License

• Valid DOT Health Card

• Must be physically fit to endure the daily activity involved with the job

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
